Members of the Archer-Ragsdale Arizona Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen pose for a photo at the 9th Annual Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day celebration March 24, 2022, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This year’s celebration honors the late Brig. Gen. Charles E. McGee, who was one of the fabled African-American aviators of the Army Air Corps during World War II. This celebration takes place every fourth Thursday in March in honor of the first African-American military aviators in the U.S. armed forces in WWII.
