Luke Air Force Base operates from sunrise to 2300(L) Monday - Friday and sometimes Saturday. The primary runway Luke AFB operates on is Rwy 21. The majority of all traffic conflicts occur in the pattern, especially ILS final for Rwy 21. Close passes have also occurred on the departures and recoveries. There are several Military Operating Areas (MOA's) that surround the Phoenix area. The local training MOA's most often occupied are Gladden, Bagdad and Sells MOA. The best way to minimize midair collisions is to avoid the high traffic areas and contact Luke Approach on 118.15 North and 125.45 South.

The associated pictures depict these high traffic areas.
