Community Initiatives
The Community Initiatives Team (CIT) is the primary liaison between the 56th Fighter Wing Commander and surrounding political subdivisions, developers and major stakeholders interested in coordinating compatible land development in areas impacted by the flying mission of Luke Air Force Base. The CIT coordinates offices of technical expertise such as airspace and civil engineering in their interaction with the community, county and state officials. The link includes various products related to flight operations, safety, noise and land use issues involving communities surrounding Luke AFB.
Luke's Environmental Excellence Program
Luke Air Force Base strives to be leaders in the Air Force and local community for environmental stewardship. Environmental management considerations are fundamental and an integral component of Luke's policies, operations, planning and management and are designed to insure all actions are taken to integrate environmental accountability into Luke's day-to-day decision-making and long-term planning processes.
Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan
The Barry M. Goldwater Range Environmental Impact Statement for the Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan is now complete. The purpose of the EIS was to provide the government decision makers and the public with a range of reasonable alternatives for the BMGR INRMP and a fair and full discussion of the probable environmental impacts of implementing each of the five INRMP alternatives. As a result, the EIS includes important descriptive and analytical information documenting factors that are important in selecting a management alternative.

Freedom of Information Act
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552, is an access statute which opens the business of Government to the general public. The FOIA may be used by anyone regardless of citizenship, to ask for Government information/records without giving reason for the request. This site was designed to offer information about records maintained at Luke AFB, Arizona, and how to send requests to the 56th Fighter Wing FOIA office. The 56th Civil Engineer Squadron's Environmental Flight is the lead agency in Luke Air Force Base's water conservation program.
