9/7/2012 - LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- For those who are adventurous or like to travel there is a place on Luke Air Force Base which provides military personnel and affiliates with discounts on tickets, airfare and more.
This hidden treasure, called Information, Tickets and Travel, is located on the first floor of Bldg. 1150.
"ITT is a travel service that arranges cruises, airlines and other vacation packages at a discounted rate," said Roseann Wagner, 56th Force Support Squadron manager. "We also sell tickets for attractions in California, Florida and here locally."
While ITT offers perks for active-duty military personnel, it also serves others who are associated with the military.
"Our clientele consists of all ages from active-duty personnel to Reserve students," she said. "We also have retirees, civilian contractors and military family members come in."
Although it can be expensive to go on a trip or to an attraction, ITT's duty is to get their client's the greatest deals.
"Our mission is to provide a full travel service for all authorized customers," Wagner said. "The service includes family airfare, adventure tours, theme parks and attraction tickets at the best possible prices."
Because of ITT, theme park lovers can enjoy discounts from some of the most popular parks.
"The most popular park people buy tickets for is Disneyland, then its Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Knotts Berry Farm," said Jonda Traylor, 56th FSS ticket sales. "Currently Disneyland has a special for $99 you can get a three-day pass, but the offer ends Sept. 30."
Here in the valley, sports fans can enjoy discounted tickets for the Suns, Cardinals, Coyotes and the Diamondbacks, Wagner said.
ITT not only presents discounts for military families and Defense Department associates, it brings people together.
"I feel wonderful anytime we can save our clients money," Traylor said. "Also for military personnel coming back home from deployments, we offer them an affordable way to have fun while spending time with their families. And that's what it's all about." |
