The rain was falling outside July 24 at Luke, but it was also falling inside at the Desert Star Club, as the band Carolina Rain treated nearly 140 base personnel, including Brig. Gen. Tom Jones, 56th Fighter Wing commander, to more than an hour of music. In addition, radio stars of KNIX, Tim and Willie, acted as emcees and performed with the group. From left: Carolina Rain banjo player, guitarist and vocalist Marvin Evatt, KNIX disc jockey, Tim, Carolina Rain lead singer and guitarist, Rhean Boyer, Willie and mandolin player and vocalist Jeremy Baxter.
