One Luke Airman's path to self-acceptance

Staff Sgt. KC Zens, 372nd Training Squadron, Detachment 12 F-35 avionics instructor, prepares for his next class’ curriculum July 12, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Zens teaches F-35A Lightning II aircraft avionics to technical school Airmen conveying how to maintain the fighter’s electronic systems. Zens, a transgender Airman, transitioned while serving in the Air Force and educates other Airmen about his journey.
