Command Post  

Command Post Operations serves as the nerve center for all Luke AFB operations. A duty controller is available 24 hours a day at (623) 856-5600 or DSN 896-5600.

Safety Office 

Located in building 461, this section includes flight, ground, and weapons safety staff. A mandatory local conditions class is at 8 a.m. (Wednesdays) for all newly assigned Luke personnel, both military and civilian. Family members may attend the class on a space-available basis. Protocol 

The Protocol office, located in building 452, is the focal point for organizing all distinguished visits to Luke AFB including military and high-level civilians. Protocol provides policy/procedural guidance, proper protocol requirements and special handling for all distinguished visitors (DV), dignitaries, and official military ceremonies/social functions. Protocol manages two general officer quarters and 2 DV lodging suites. Protocol will approve scripts and provide indirect supervision for changes of command, retirement, promotion, and reenlistment ceremonies. The responsibility for preparing guest lists, DV seating arrangements, agendas, scripts and design/development of invitations, name tags and table tents for wing commander hosted events lies with protocol. Public Affairs  

The focal point for providing information on Luke issues, programs and base events to Airmen, the community and members of the news media, the Public Affairs Office is located in building 452. The staff conducts base tours, provides speakers for civic organizations in the community and is the commander's liaison between the base and local media organizations. All media requests concerning Luke people, programs and events must be coordinated through Public Affairs. Call (623) 856-6011 or DSN 896-6011 for more information. 

Chapel Office  

The Luke Chapel Team is committed to ensuring spiritual care for the entire family. Four chaplains and four support personnel are assigned to administer an extensive religious program in two chapels. Chaplain offices and administrative offices are located in the Luke Community Chapel located between the Officers' Club and the Fitness Center. The Chapel on the Mall is located near the airplane display. 

Range Management Office (RMO) 

RMO Provides decisive management of the Barry M. Goldwater Range (BMGR) complex in support of flying operations and pilot training, while incorporating a dedicated stewardship of the environment and natural and cultural resources entrusted to our care. Comptroller (56th CPTS)  

The 56th Comptroller Squadron includes financial services, financial analysis, nonappropriated fund oversight, quality assurance and a command section. The unit's overriding goals are customer service and fiscal execution. Recent changes have made it possible to improve the ability to service customers with fewer resources. Some of these advances include the Government Travel Card program, electronic funds transfer for payments, myPay, centralized accounting and faster support for military pay processing. Financial services will probably be one of the most important stops for a newcomer. It is located on the first floor of building 1150, where customers can get military, civilian and travel pay assistance at the centralized customer service counter. As part of the in-processing program, newcomers are scheduled for a finance briefing where they are assisted in completing their travel voucher and any pay questions are answered. Upon arrival, newcomers will have their master military pay account updated to reflect their proper entitlements at Luke. Direct deposit is required for all military personnel, to aid in a smoother in-processing newcomers are encouraged to maintain their direct deposit account during PCS. Judge Advocate

The legal office, located in building 1150, provides confidential advice to all service members concerning personal civil matters and military affairs. Attorneys are available to provide advice on issues of marriage, divorce, adoption, insurance, personal injury, claims, rentals and leases, indebtedness, wills, and estate planning. The legal office also provides powers of attorney, vehicle license tax forms, and notaries. Air Force lawyers can not represent members in civilian court, in civilian business matters or fill out civilian legal paperwork. However, attorneys can offer legal advice early and often, preventing problems from escalating. At this time we do not support walk-in legal assistance. Legal assistance is by appointment only. Please e-mail 56JA.ORG@us.af.mil to request an appointment. Legal advice is not given on the phone. The 56FW/JA office is open for Walk-In Notaries and Powers of Attorney on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1330-1530. To expedite customer visit to the legal office, Powers of Attorney can be completed on the AF Legal Assistance Website at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil and the customer must bring their case sensitive ticket number with them.  Will worksheets can be completed on the AF Legal Assistance Website at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil. The customer may schedule an appointment for wills using our e-mail: 56JA.ORG@us.af.mil. The customer must include their case sensitive ticket number in the e-mail. Wills are scheduled at 1000 and 1100 on Wednesdays.  Deployed personnel have priority.

Also included on the legal assistance website is the Department of the Air Force Docket, which lists pending and completed courts-martial under the respective tabs at the top of the page. Results may be filtered by date range, base, or location.

Equal Employment Opportunity  

The Equal Employment Opportunity Office serves as the wing commander's advisor on discrimination complaints. This office processes EEO complaints of civilian employees and/or applicants for employment at Luke AFB. This office conducts and monitors all Mediation Sessions of workplace disputes for Luke AFB. History Office

The History Office provides historical services to the base and community. In addition to researching and writing the annual wing history, the History Office annually updates the Heritage Pamphlet, and answers historical questions about the wing and the base. The Heritage Pamphlet can be found on the History Office homepage link below. Additionally the office coordinates on unit emblems and tracks their lineage and honors. Plans

Inspector General (IG) 

The Inspector General is the eyes, ears and conscience of the base. The IG is an independent agency that investigates complaints, allegations of reprisal, improper mental health referrals, and fraud, waste, and abuse. It conducts administrative investigations designed to ensure efficient and effective mission accomplishment. The IG provides training and education for all base personnel on IG issues and procedures, provides assistance where wrong doing is not present, and referrals to appropriate agencies chartered to handle each respective situation to ensure that the integrity of the system is maintained. The IG serves as the wing's Congressional Liaison Officer to members of Congress for all matters pertaining to Luke Air Force Base. Finally, the IG exercises the 56th FW and is in charge of the exercise evaluation team through the IGI office. The IG office is located on the first floor of building 1142.

Community Support Coordinator (CSC)  

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Resilience Program Specialist/Facilitator on Luke AFB. Major responsibilities include Community Action Board (CAIB) Executive Director, Integrated Delivery System (IDS) Chair, Caring for People (CfP) Coordinator, and Status of Health and Airmen Resilience Exchange (SHARE) Coordinator. With few exceptions, stays abreast of, coordinates, and shares information regarding all aspects of Wingman Days and suicide prevention training tiers and tracking. In addition, promotes and links various military and non-military resources, works to improve access to a variety of base helping agencies, and identifies and builds a network of programs and services for Airmen and their families with a focus toward building, improving, and sustaining resilience.
