Colonel L. LEILANI RILEY

Colonel Riley is the Commander of the 56th Medical Group, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. She is responsible for all medical care and medical support to the 56th Fighter Wing, including 26 squadrons and all foreign flight training officers from the Republic of Singapore. As commander, she serves as the Chief Executive Officer of a multispecialty clinic and a dental clinic, and is responsible for health services for more than 26,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries.

Colonel Riley directly commissioned into the Air Force as a First Lieutenant in April 2002. She was a Distinguished Graduate at both Commissioned Officer Training and Bioenvironmental Engineering School. Prior to her current assignment, Colonel Riley was the Commander of Detachment 5 for the 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Force Research Laboratory at Joint Base San Antonio-
Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In this role, she led 175 Air Force and Army personnel at the Department of Defense's sole directed
energy bioeffects laboratory. Col Riley previously commanded the 15th Medical Operations Squadron at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

Additionally, she served on the Air Force Central Command staff as the Command Bioenvironmental Engineer where she supported 140,000 deployed coalition forces at nine operational locations. She also served as the commander, 959th Clinical Support Squadron at JBSA Ft Sam Houston TX - Brooke Army Medical Center. She led a team supporting 255 thousand beneficiaries in a 425-bed joint service inpatient hospital at the Department of Defense's sole Level 1 Trauma Center.
