56th SFS trains on new weapons systems
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ramon Rosa Aponte, 56th Security Forces Squadron defender, hangs targets during a weapons qualification course Aug. 3, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Combat Arms Training and Maintenance instructors led a class for 56th SFS members to familiarize themselves with two of the Air Force’s newest weapons systems: the M4A1 rifle and the M18 carbine. Luke AFB is one of the first Air Education and Training Command bases to implement the use of the Air Force’s new weapons systems for SFS members, leading the way toward the future for SFS.
