FSS takes command Hennessy Trophy

Air Education and Training Command named the 56th Force Support Squadron here as the command winner of the 2010 AETC Hennessy Trophy Award in the Single Dining Facility category. The 56th FSS distinguished itself by supporting 8,700 base members, preparing over 276,000 meals, and maintaining a $1.3 million dollar contract, according to an AETC message.

The food service professionals provided excellent support for more than 800 Airmen on meal cards through a variety of programs, including a base food show, weekly ethnic meals, and quarterly birthday dinners. The staff provided meals for Air Force Academy Cadets, an ROTC Detachment, Civil Air Patrol, Marine 4th Logistics Group, and the 944th Fighter Wing. Additionally, it was the 56th Fighter Wing Commander's top choice for hosting distinguished visitors, such as the 19th Air Force Commander and the 5th and l1th Chief Master Sergeants of the Air Force.
