More than 3,500 Airmen, base personnel and family members attended the base Wingman Day picnic held Monday on the service fields behind the base gym.

"We were surprised with the turn out," said Joanne Perkins, 56th Services Squadron marketing and publicity director. "With this being a day before a holiday, we didn't expect so many people to turn out. It is fantastic that so many people came!"

Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad and chips were served to attendees. A dizzy bat competition, bouncy castles, the Ocean Breeze band, and a number of vendors provided entertainment for the crowd.
