Fall Festival 2008 Published Oct. 30, 2008 By Deborah Silliman Wolfe 56th Fighter Wing Public Affairs LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The Luke Air Force Base Fall Festival took place Saturday and more than 3,000 people took advantage of the warm weather and attended the event. "We are so excited at the turnout," said Joanne Perkins, 56th Services Squadron marketing and publicity director. "We had expected 50 children to compete in the costume contest, and we had 150 show up. It was wonderful!" The event featured a pumpkin patch with 500 pumpkins, 45 vendors, nine sponsors, a variety of bouncy structures, pony rides, costume contests, rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, food, music, prize drawings and a car show featuring 45 new and classic vehicles.
