Thunderbolt of the Week: Airman 1st Class Jason Lord Published May 25, 2007 LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Airman 1st Class Jason Lord, 56th Logistic Readiness Squadron, Refueling Unit Operator Hometown: Douglasville, Ga. Years in service: One Inspirations: My family Goals: To get a college degree and make senior airman below-the-zone Greatest feat: Passing my career development courses Self-description: Outgoing, funny and easy to get along with Famous last words: "Whoops!" Off-duty interests: Running, spending time with friends and playing video and arcade games Commander's comments: "Airman Lord is a true professional," said Lt. Col. Michael Washington, 56th LRS commander. "He is an upand-coming star in the petroleum, oil and lubricants career field. His recent selection as 56th LRS Airman of the Quarter is a reflection of the impact he makes at Luke every day. Since arriving in September 2006, he has issued more than half a million gallons of JP-8 to Luke's F-16s. His drive and dedication were evident during the Luke Air Show where he flawlessly refueled the F-22, ACC demo team aircraft and the Air Force Thunderbirds. I echo the sentiments of the fuels management team, 'I wish I had 40 more just like Airman Lord.'"
