The game kicked off with the 56th Medical Group quarterback rushing for yards against the 56th Operations Support Squadron only to get caught short of a first down. It ended the way it began -- MDG coming up short with the final score 21-18 OSS.

"Going into the game we wanted to keep it simple," said Chris Howard, 56th OSS quarterback. "Just keep grabbing flags and stay disciplined."

MDG drove the ball down the field the best they could, but OSS had a formidable defense on them resulting in an interception only a few yards from the end zone.

With OSS stopping MDG from scoring, OSS went on to drive the ball in for a touchdown. However, MDG reassumed command of the ball and pushed back the defense for their own touchdown only to allow OSS to push back again and score.

By the end of the first half there were a few poor attempts to score resulting in turnovers for both teams.

"We are doing horrible," said Cody Rogers, 56th MDG quarterback, at halftime. "I threw a pick and got burned by the defense. We are doing well as a team though. For the second half the plan is to have no turnovers, move the ball faster down the field and win the game."

In the last 20 seconds of the game, OSS needed to keep up the defense and stop MDG from scoring. With nine seconds remaining, MDG made a last-ditch effort to score only to see the ball soar over the receiver's hands in the end zone.

"In future games, we plan to spread the ball around better," Howard said. "Play hard and have fun while we win."

OSS kept the defense strong all the way through the game resulting in a victory.

"I think we did really well," said Nathan Rodriguez, 56th OSS receiver. "We made the plays we needed to make and won the game."
