Ride across America

Jeremy Staat and Wesley Barrientos ride through Luke Air Force Base Air Park March 7 on one of the many stops they will make while riding across the country. The ride is to raise awareness on behalf of veterans. Staat, a former NFL player and Marine, teamed up with Barrientos, an Army veteran who lost both legs during his third tour to Iraq, to bike from the Wall of Valor in Bakersfield, Calif., to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., in 100 days to help raise awareness on issues such as veteran suicides, veteran benefits and childhood obesity.
