309th gets ‘new jet’ smell

Lt. Col. Pete Bilodeau, 309th Fighter Squadron commander, exits a Block 42 F-16 Fighting Falcon Monday. The flight was the F-16’s first after arriving at the 309th FS from the 63rd FS. The 63rd‘s jets came to the 309th after the stand down of the 63rd May 22. This flight marks the transition for the 309th from Block 25 to Block 42 aircraft. “I’m looking forward to working with members of the new 309th Aircraft Maintenance Unit as we transition,” said Colonel Bilodeau.
