2025 Prime BEEF Challenge with the 56th CES
Akoni Mirafuentes, 56th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment continuation instructor, demonstrates the use of a signal mirror to communicate with overhead aircraft during the Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force readiness challenge, Nov. 20, 2025, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This technique is vital for contacting aircraft during search and rescue, a critical survival skill in isolated scenarios. This training reinforces basic communication skills, enhancing Airmen's rescue chances, and establishing brilliance at the basics to enhance integrated operational combat capability.
