Luke Leadership tests Virtual Range Simulator

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. David Berkland, 56th Fighter Wing commander, utilizes a virtual range simulator during a demonstration, Dec. 15, 2025, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The range’s interactive feedback assists with building fundamental skills like breath control, trigger squeeze, and sight picture with minimal logistical movement in ways that traditional dry-fire cannot. By reinforcing proper fundamentals in the simulator, Airmen can transfer those improved habits directly to live-fire training. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Elias Carrero)
