Luke AFB Opens Fire Station 2 to Strengthen Emergency Response
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Andrew Baird, 56th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter apprentice, briefs Airmen about the official opening of Fire Station 2, March 31, 2026, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The introduction highlighted the capabilities and readiness of Luke AFB’s fire emergency services in support of mission operations and base infrastructure. The 56th Fighter Wing fire emergency services respond to both on-base emergencies and support surrounding communities when needed, providing aircraft rescue and firefighting, structural fire protection and emergency medical response to ensure mission continuity and base safety.
