The 56th Fighter Wing's mission is to train the world's greatest F-16 fighter pilots while deploying mission-ready warfighters. The wing, part of Air Education and Training Command, is home to 138 aircrafts, 24 squadrons and four tenant units. The 56th Fighter Wing graduates more than 285 F-16 pilots and 350 crew chiefs annually.

The 56th OG has operational
control and responsibility for the
entire fighter-training mission at
Luke.
56th Maintenance Group 56th Maintenance Group (MXG)
The 56th MXG provides aircraft maintenance on more than 170
F-16s for the Air Force's only active
duty F-16 training wing.
56th Mission Support Group 56th Mission Support Group (MSG)
The 56th MSG sustains the F-16
Fighting Falcon, provides for the community, and delivers
responsive combat support.
56th Medical Group 56th Medical Group (MDG)
The 56th MDG is an outpatient
only Medical Treatment Facility,
which serves more than 84,000 beneficiaries in the Phoenix area.
 54th Fighter Group 54th Fighter Group (FG)
The 54th Fighter Group is comprised of three squadrons, including the 311th Fighter Squadron, 54th Operational Support Squadron and 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
