USAF, USMC update Integrated Natural Resources Management Plans Published March 23, 2018 By Susan Gladstein 56th Range Management Office Public Affairs LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The Air Force and the Marine Corps, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and the Arizona Game and Fish Department, prepared the INRMP in accordance with the Military Lands Withdrawal Act of 1999, the Sikes Act Improvement Amendments, the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and other applicable laws.The INRMP must be reviewed as to operation and effect on a regular basis, but no less than every five years.The draft public report, which covers proposed revisions for the next five-year period (2018-2023), has been released for review and comment to the public and state, local and tribal governments. The report describes changes in military use, environmental conditions, and public access opportunities that have occurred at the BMGR since implementation of the 2012 INRMP.The next public open house meetings are scheduled for March 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sonoran Desert Inn & Conference Center, 55 Orilla Ave, Ajo, AZ 85321 and March 14, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive, Yuma, AZ 85364.The draft BMGR Public Report will be available to the public for review and comment for 30 days, Feb. 23, 2018 to March 25, 2018 (Note: Review date has recently changed).
