To begin the New Year in true Thunderbolt style, the 3rd annual wing warrior run will take place Jan. 2 at the north end of the Luke Air Force Base runway. All squadrons and/or groups are encouraged to bring their guidon or mascot if possible. This run is mandatory for all active-duty Airmen who are not on leave or out of the local area on government business.

Additionally, all Air Force personnel must wear weather appropriate Air Force exercise gear. Civilian personnel are welcome to attend, but are not required. All participants must be formed up by 6:56 a.m.

Water will be provided at the break off point and at the finish line to ensure proper hydration. Medical services will also be provided at those designated areas. At the assigned break off points, groups will be allowed to break from formation so that individuals can run on their own pace.

Transportation to the runway will start at 5:45 a.m. at Bldg. 1150 and the flight line kitchen. In addition, the buses will take participants back to the specified buildings afterward. For more information, call Capt. Anthony Arocha at (623) 856-6031.
