Banquet to honor Luke's best Jan. 22 Published Jan. 15, 2010 By Senior Airman Tong Duong 56th Fighter Wing Public Affairs LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- The 2009 Annual Awards Banquet is 22 Jan., 5:30 pm., at Club Five Six, formally Desert Star Club. The banquet honors wing members who competed in the categories of civilian, Airman, noncommissioned officer, senior noncommissioned officer and company grade officer of the quarter. Along with the quarterly award winners being recognized, the annual award winners will also be announced for the first time at the event. Gen. Stephen Lorenz Air Education Training Command commander will be in attendance as the guest speaker. Meals are cash only. The cost for combo plate is $35 for distinguished visitors and 0-6s and higher; $30 for 0-5s and lower and E-7s through E-9s; $25 for ranks E-6s and E-5s; $20 for E-4s and lower. The cost for vegetarian plate is $25 for distinguished visitors and 0-6s and higher; $20 for 0-5s and lower and E-7s through E-9s; $15 for ranks E-6s and lower. The required uniform for servicemembers attending the awards banquet is mess dress or semi-formal for military and black tie or semi-formal for civilian.
