Luke security forces named best in Air Force Published March 13, 2009 By Staff Report 56th Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, AZ -- Air Force officials Friday named the 56th Security Forces Squadron here the 2008 Air Force Outstanding Security Forces (medium) Unit. The unit was named best in Air Education and Training Command Feb. 21 before going up to compete at Air Force level. "I am very proud of our men and women of security forces," said Brig. Gen. Kurt Neubauer, 56th Fighter Wing commander. "Their dedication and commitment at Luke and around the globe serves as an inspiration to us all." The SFS at Luke Air Force base is a mix of active duty Airmen, reservists and civilians.
