The first pass of the game was thrown short, setting the tone for the 56th Fighter Wing Staff Agencies flag football team as they took on the Detachment 12, 372nd Training Squadron who delivered a solid game with two touchdowns.

The final score was 12-0, 372nd TRS.

As the FWSA gained first downs and got closer to the end zone, the 372nd TRS defended harder, resulting in the first interception of the game just five minutes in. 372nd TRS pulled ahead in the first half with a score of 6-0.

For the rest of the first half, FWSA managed to defend the end zone from 372nd TRS's repeated attempts. There were multiple turnovers by the end of the first half, but the 372nd was determined to win the game.

"Our goal is to dominate," said Justin Nesbitt, 372nd TRS teammate. "If we keep playing how we played in the first half, we will win this game."

As the second half began, FWSA managed to get the ball down the field to the 20-yard line. With first and goal at the 20-yard line, the pass was intercepted by a 372nd defender, who ran the ball back for about 30 yards before being stopped by Kyle Reaves, 56th FWSA teammate. With 11 minutes to go, 372nd touched down again to finish the scoring in the game.

FWSA gave a final effort. From double covering defenders to man-on-man defense, they were able to stop 372nd from gaining positive yards and forced them to turn over the ball. Even with those strategies, 372nd TRS still got the win.

"With no practice at all, I think we did well overall," Reaves said. "Only thing we really need to focus on is our offense. Small touch-ups here and there and we should be able to win the next game."
