Drug reduction program aids mission

Col. Dean Messelheiser, 56th Medical Operations Squadron commander, collects an Airman's identification card and directs him to report to the drug demand reductions center. This gate check is part of a program to discourage illegal substance abuse and is performed randomly any time of day or night by unit commanders at any of the base gates.
