Daniel "Nanoo" Mayer, pilot for a day, tries on a flight helmet at the 310th Fighter Squadron on Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, Oct. 24, 2014. The pilot for a day program focuses on children who have serious or chronic conditions and invites them to be a part of a flying squadron for an entire day.
