Program promotes ‘Street Smart’ resiliency
Ralph Jimenez, Stay Alive From Education instructor, reviews the steps to be taken following an accident during a Street Smart Resiliency briefing Tuesday at Luke Air Force Base. He explained how first responders prepare trauma victims for transport including how to restrain the victim, how to treat injuries, and what instruments and equipment are used. Also discussed were the dangers of mixing alcohol and driving. Street Smart Resiliency program members travel to bases around the country to discuss the dangers of distracted driving and driving under the influence.
