Spikes Honor Squadron Mate Finally Laid to Rest
Airmen assigned to the 62nd Fighter Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Ariz travel on a Arizona National Guard KC-135 Stratotanker to Joint Base Andrews, Md, Aug. 4, 2017. Approximately 50 Airmen from the 62nd FS traveled to honor 2nd Lt. Charles E. Carlson at his funeral at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pennsylvania more than 70 years after being shot down over Germany in World War II when he was assigned to the 62 FS.
