Luke Airmen conduct a Fuel Spill Exercise
Senior Airman Joseph Bahr (left), 56th Aeromedicine Squadron bioenvironmental technician, and Staff Sgt. Eric Roberts, 56th Aeromedicine Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of Radiation and Safety Operations Element, monitor volatile organic compounds in the air during a fuel spill exercise Oct. 4, 2019, at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. The exercise simulated a catastrophic fuel spill during a monsoon; a bioenvironmental response team was dispatched to assess the air quality for hazardous compounds.
