Avionics Airman inspires young women at aviation camp
Senior Airman Lydia Kamps, F-16 Viper avionics technician at the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, speaks to young women during the Experimental Aircraft Association’s GirlVenture Camp held July 22-24, 2019 during the EAA’s AirVenture in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. Before joining the Air Force the Airman participated in the camp because she had hopes to fly one day. It was the second year in a row Kamps volunteered as a mentor at AirVenture and its air show, one of the largest aviation events in America, with the approval of the Air Force Recruiting Service to use permissive temporary duty days under the We Are All Recruiters program.
