Luke AFB Supporter Appreciation Day brings community closer to the mission
U.S. Air Force Capt. Jason Mavrogeorge, 8th Flying Training Squadron instructor pilot, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, explains the features of a T-6A Texan II aircraft to an attendee during Luke AFB’s Supporter Appreciation Day event, May 13, 2022, at Luke AFB, Arizona. Mavrogeorge flew in from Oklahoma to participate in the event where he showcased the T-6A to other Airmen, base supporters, and civic leaders from surrounding communities. The T-6A is the primary trainer aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force to train Joint Primary Pilot Training students, preparing them to eventually train on and in fighter aircraft.
