Commitment and Sacrifice

A static display of an F-16 Fighting Falcon bearing the name of U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Brice Simpson, rests outside of the command building at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, Sept 14, 2023. It is a long-standing tradition as well as a source of pride for fighter pilots to have their name painted on the cockpit of an airplane. Having one’s name painted on a permanent static display aircraft is an even higher honor. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Elias Carrero)
