308th Fighter Squadron Welcomes New Commander

Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force Lt. Col. Joost Luijsterburg, outgoing 308th Fighter Squadron commander, passes the guidon to Lt. Col. Toon van de Graaf, incoming 308th FS commander, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, Aug. 14, 2026. The squadron supports the 56th Fighter Wing’s joint and combined interoperability with the Netherlands which focuses on the integrated training of Allied and partner forces in complex, modern threat scenarios, ensuring mutual F-35A Lightning II mission objectives outpace and dominate the strategic environment.
