  • Luke Airmen participate in 9/11 Tower Challenge

    Over 1,500 participants attended the 9/11 Tower Challenge at Gila River Arena, Glendale, Arizona including civilians, active-duty and reserve military personnel, veterans, firefighters and first responders. Participants walked up and down stadium stairs representing the 110 flights of stairs climbed by New York City firefighters during the attacks on the World Trade Center and in honor of those who lost their lives.
  • Arizona Attorney General visits Luke

    Mark Brnovich, Arizona Attorney General, receives a base tour Aug. 20, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Brnovich’s visit included a wing mission brief, an Academic Training Center tour and an F-35A Lightning II virtual demonstration conducted by pilots with the 62nd Fighter Squadron. Additionally, Brnovich met with wing leadership to observe Luke’s mission of training the world’s greatest fighter pilots and combat-ready Airmen.

  • EFMP provides specialized services, family support, care

    A family unit can be a unique dynamic filled with members who are continuously developing, growing and coming into their own. While each member navigates their personal experience, additional services may be needed to ensure optimal support and care. A program in place equipped to assist with specialized needs and care is the Exceptional Family Member Program. Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, has two EFMP-Family Support coordinators who serve as a central focal point for all EFMP related information.

  • Luke reinforces TFI with DoD level maintenance award

    The 56th and 944th Fighter Wings’ maintenance groups, referred to as the 1K Maintenance Group at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, will be recipients of the 2020 Secretary of Defense Field-level Maintenance Award in the large category. The information was officially confirmed in a Department of Defense news release posted on Nov. 19.
