When conducting military operations in a hostile environment, situational awareness requires mental fortitude, resilience and skill. The stressful conditions can cause uncertainty in ones own capability, also known as the ‘fog of war’.
To reduce the uncertainty in these situations, the 56th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal conducted a fly-away training mission at the Florence Military Training Reservation in Florence, Ariz., July 21.
